In May I spent three weeks in the beautiful region of Ladakh in the north of India. The western tourists were exected just end of May, so I traveled partially with Indian tourists. East and west of Leh, the capital of Ladakh, there are Buddhist monasteries along the Indus Valley. I reached the Nubra valley and the lakes Pangong, Moriri and Kar, via passes, which are over 5,300 m. Turtuk is the last place before the border with Pakistan and already a different world. The Pangong Lake is located in both China and India and shimmers in the afternoon and evening light in all colors, as does Moriri Lake.
